AKRON-CANTON AIRPORT OPENS LONG-TERM PARKING LOT B

Green, OH: To accommodate the varying needs of passengers flying from CAK, the airport is

opening another affordable, on-site parking area, long-term lot B, November 1, 2003. It is located on the North side of the main terminal entrance and will feature a low $6 daily rate. For customers who need to leave their car for 5-7 days, the cost is $30 per week (sixth and seventh day free).

Parking in the traditional long-term lot is still available at $7 per day or $35 per week. The

short- term, close-in parking lot, which accommodates mostly friends and family dropping-off or

picking -up passengers, is $12 per day.

.More passengers means more cars,. said airport director Fred Krum. .The trick is keeping

parking convenient and reasonably priced. Our newest long-term lot offers our passengers both.  Great parking options are part of the many advantages of flying from Akron-Canton,. he added.  Complimentary courtesy shuttles that drop off passengers at ticket counter entrances service both long-term parking lots.

The airport is currently in phase three of the STAR capital improvement program, focusing on

a new second level concourse, more room for friends and family, additional gift and merchandise options as well as improvements to runway 5/23. More airport information is available at www.akroncantonairport.com.
