FROM AKRON-CANTON AIRPORT

Green, OH: Are you ready to go "gulfing"? If so, grab your clubs and head to Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) because AirTran Airways is now offering nonstop flights to Tampa (TPA) everyday of the week. The new daily flight to Tampa (like all AirTran Flights from CAK) is aboard full-size, brand-new, Boeing 717 jets configured with 117 seats. The carrier began once-weekly service to Tampa last November.

"We are responding to overwhelming demand for our Saturday only nonstop Tampa flights," said John Kirby, AirTran Airways director of network planning. "We are pleased to bring this enhanced service to our valued and loyal Northeast Ohio customers."

"This is a great time of year to offer an escape route to sunny Tampa from Northeast Ohio," said airport director Fred Krum. With AirTran Airways' everyday low fares, folks can actually fly to Tampa and afford to take in a round of golf too."
