Green, OH - Tee up your vacation plans, because Breeze Airways is announcing nonstop air service to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) from Akron-Canton Airport (CAK)! The South Florida route will launch February 19, 2022 starting at $59 one-way!
“We are delighted to add Palm Beach to our route map with affordable, nonstop service aboard Breeze,” said Akron-Canton Airport President and CEO, Ren Camacho. “After a cold winter, travelers will be ecstatic to find all the Palm Beaches have to offer including legendary golf courses, pristine water ways and sandy beaches.”
Palm Beach International Airport is the top unserved market from CAK currently and has ranked in the top ten destinations from CAK in years prior.
"We're so excited to expand our service from Akron-Canton," said Breeze Chairman and CEO David Neeleman. "Breeze started flying from CAK in June, serving Tampa, New Orleans and Charleston. The service has been really popular, so we're very thrilled to add Palm Beach as a new route."
Breeze will fly to PBI once a week to start—on Saturday—with the possibility of additional frequency based on demand.
“Breeze’s business model is to add ‘nice, new nonstop’ flights on routes where only connecting service is offered by other carriers,” said Mr. Neeleman. “We’re excited to introduce Breeze service to South Florida, and look forward to adding more routes from Akron-Canton.”
This is the fourth year-round route Breeze will serve from CAK, other routes include Charleston, New Orleans, and Tampa.
“CAK is grateful for Breeze’s commitment to the region and ability to connect the Akron-Canton community to another favorite vacation destination. As passengers continue to choose CAK as their preferred airport, we can anticipate the announcement of additional routes in the future,” said Camacho.
Flights will depart from CAK at 5:55pm and arrive in PBI at 8:25pm; flights will depart PBI at 10:05am and arrive at 12:40pm. They will operate aboard the ERJ-190 which seats 108 passengers comfortably in a two-seat configuration, meaning no middle seat.
Travelers can rest assure their journey to Palm Beach is a safe and healthy one.
