New Nonstop Flights Land at Akron-Canton Airport
Two warm weather destinations added to the route map
Today is a big day for chilly Northeast Ohio travelers as two new routes launch from the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK)! Allegiant Air and Breeze Airways are both growing at CAK, launching the airport’s 14th and 15th nonstop destinations.
Allegiant Air Launches Nonstop Service to Orlando/Sanford, FL
Located in the center of Florida’s most popular destinations, nonstop flights to Orlando/Sanford offer the Northeast Ohio region a quick flight to outdoor adventures and theme parks.
“We’re delighted to see the continued growth of Allegiant Air at CAK,” said Ren Camacho, President and CEO of Akron-Canton Airport. “The Orlando area has long been a top destination for our traveling community, and this new flight will ensure a quick, affordable trip for years to come.”
In addition to the new nonstop service to Orlando/Sanford beginning October 6, Allegiant will launch nonstop service to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami (FLL) on November 19.

- Sarasota/Bradenton (SRQ)
- Savannah/Hilton Head (SAV)

Breeze Airways Launches Nonstop Service to Las Vegas, NV
CAK’s most westward destination launches today with a full flight of happy passengers ready to experience Las Vegas.
“With Breeze's sixth nonstop destination from CAK, Akron/Canton travelers finally have a nonstop to Las Vegas!” said Tom Doxey, Breeze’s President. “And with Breeze's very affordable fares, it's much easier now to spend a long weekend in the Entertainment Capital of the World. As we like to say, we'll get you there twice as fast for about half the price!"
Breeze will operate all Las Vegas routes with its fleet of Airbus A220s. When flying on the A220 aircraft, Guests may choose from three price bundles that are offered as ‘Nice,’ ‘Nicer,’ and ‘Nicest.’
The A220 will offer the only premium seat option to LAS from Northeast Ohio, catering to travelers who want to save money, while enjoying the comforts of flying.
“With new nonstop service to Las Vegas from CAK, customers have a seriously nice option to get to one of their most requested leisure destinations,” said Camacho. “The combination of Breeze’s low fares and CAK’s convenience truly makes this service a better way to go.”
