CAK’s average fare is $119 while neighboring airports record higher fares, including Cleveland pricing at $169, Pittsburgh at $175, and Columbus at $184.
“While the average price travelers pay to fly from CAK continues to decrease, what continues to increase is our lineup of nonstop destinations,” said Ren Camacho, Akron-Canton Airport President and CEO. “We understand the importance of affordable travel options without compromising on quality or service, and we're committed to making travel accessible and enjoyable for all.”
Travelers now have the option of 19 nonstop destinations from CAK aboard Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Breeze Airways, and United Airlines. In addition to low fares on nonstop flights, those looking to travel beyond will find competitive fares to hundreds of domestic and international destinations with just one-stop.
Maintaining the lowest average fare has been made possible through the continued expansion of low-cost carriers Allegiant Air and Breeze Airways, both of which have established a significant presence at CAK.
Passenger numbers for June exceeded those reported for the same month 2019 (the year prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic). The week of July 7th marked over 10,000 passengers through the TSA screening checkpoint, indicating yet another impressive milestone as CAK continues to add new nonstop flight options.
As the preferred choice for those seeking unbeatable value and an easy airport experience, travelers can expect excellent service, convenient facilities, and the lowest average air fares in the area when they choose CAK.
Allegiant operates nonstop flights to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Punta Gorda/Ft. Myers, Orlando/Sanford, Sarasota/Bradenton, Savannah/Hilton Head, and St. Pete/Clearwater.
Breeze offers nonstop service to Charleston, Ft. Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Myrtle Beach, Norfolk, Orlando, Raleigh-Durham, and Tampa.
American Airlines offers nonstop service to Charlotte and Washington D.C. while United Airlines offers nonstop service to Chicago.
