Medical Conditions and the TSA Screening Process

Recently, with the new procedures that have been implemented by the TSA in the form of pat downs, many of those with special medical conditions have been wondering what could be done to give the TSA a heads up on their specific condition. Working with other agencies, the TSA is now providing a way for  passengers to inform them of their condition prior to the start of the screening process.

For those with disabilities, implants and other conditions, passengers can download a form at http://www.disability.gov/ to give to the screening agent as you enter the machines. The form should be filled out prior to your arrival at the airport. Giving this to the screening officer provides a way for the customer to communicate their particular disability or condition to the officer in a discrete way. Mind you this won't affect the process but it will alert them to your condition. We hope that in the future these forms would become available on the TSA web site.

Thanks for providing CAK with a record breaking year in 2010. We look forward to serving you in the new year!
